CALUMET CITY | A 26-year-old man faces a driving under the influence charge after he crashed into an apartment building, police said.

David Villasenor crashed at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday into the building at 604 Sibley Boulevard, said Tom DiFiori, an assistant chief for the Calumet City Police Department. No one in the building was injured.

Villasenor was the only person in the vehicle and was taken to the hospital, DiFiori said. He was later charged with a DUI.
