CHICAGO HEIGHTS | Marian Catholic High School awarded 70 Academic Letters to sophomores, juniors and seniors at the annual Academic Letter Breakfast in October. The Academic Letter is awarded to first-time students who receive a 4.0 or higher grade-point average in two consecutive semesters.

Current senior recipients included Trenton Blake (Munster), Hannah Bohlen (Homewood), Lyndsey Clark (Crete), Sarah George (Chicago Heights), Christopher Gliotoni (Chicago Heights), Maria Grossi (Steger), Isabelle Keating (Flossmoor), Paul Lamb (Chicago Heights), Shannon Mulholland (Flossmoor), Megan Ringo (Crete), and Ayla Skipton (Lansing).

Junior class honorees were Kaley Barseth (Tinley Park), Raven-Symone Brown (Richton Park), Regina Brown (Lynwood), Phoenix Burnett (Calumet City), Angelica Cazares (Chicago Heights), Amy Cowser (Steger), Christina deBustros (Flossmoor), Michael Lauer (Park Forest), Janie Neal (University Park), Emerson Pavur (Monee), John Peabody (Flossmoor), Jacqueline Poe (Monee), Matthew Udani (Schererville), Kellen Williams (Olympia Fields) and Carlee Wisniewski (Steger).

Presented each fall, the six-inch "M" Letters have been awarded to more than 1,225 students since the program began in 1994.
