CALUMET CITY | A Richton Park woman faces a felony charge of fleeing an accident scene after a domestic disturbance in which she is accused of hitting her boyfriend with her car, police said Wednesday.

Kiandra D. Pierce, 21, of the 2200 block of South Greenfield Avenue, is charged with failure to stop after an accident involving a personal injury, said Calumet City Assistant Police Chief Dan Zorzi. He said Pierce apparently was not going at a high rate of speed.

Pierce is accused of hitting her Calumet City boyfriend with her 2005 Chevrolet Aveo at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Sibley Boulevard and Saginaw Avenue and then fleeing to Hazel Crest. She then reported alleged harassment by her boyfriend to police there, Zorzi said. Zorzi said the boyfriend was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pierce also is charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. She is in Calumet City police custody and has a bond hearing Thursday at the Sixth District Cook County Circuit Court in Markham.
