CALUMET CITY | River Oaks Center, at 159th Street and Torrence Avenue, is hosting Mall-O-Ween from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 31 for families.

The event will include trick-or-treating, spooky photos, Halloween crafts and surprise treat bags for some guests.

Photos will be taken in the Macy's court. The Calumet City Police Department will be at the mall passing out books, fingerprint kits and other goodies and will arrive with their NASCAR-decaled squad car.

"Mall-O-Ween is one of our absolute favorite events," said Michelle Simmons, assistant director of marketing and business development at River Oaks Center. "We love providing a safe, exciting alternative to traditional trick-or-treating and it's always fun to bring the community together for Halloween."
