CALUMET CITY | Calumet City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 1 hosted its 26th annual Santa toy run Saturday.

Santa and his elves loaded up the sleigh and visited deserving Calumet City families, bringing gifts to the homes of more than 45 children. The FOP said in a news release that donations received from the community make this special delivery possible.

The FOP thanked Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli, 7th Ward Alderman Antoine Collins, Midwest Eye Center; Lincoln, Wilson, Hoover, Wentworth Junior High and Caroline Sibley schools; and Pete's Fresh Market.

Family and friends also donate their time to shop, wrap gifts and help with deliveries.
