CHICAGO HEIGHTS | Police still are working to identify a woman found dead in the snow Friday.
Police describe the victim as a white woman with dark blond hair who was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed about 167 pounds, said Sgt. Tom Rogers, Chicago Heights chief of detectives.
The woman was found unresponsive about 1:26 p.m., partially buried in snow next to a garage at 1313 Otto Blvd., police said.
She was wearing a black T-shirt with Balmoral Park Race Track and "Built for horse racing" written on it in red letters, Rogers said.
Detectives think she was in her 30s or older, he said. She also had a scar where her belly button may have been pierced at some time, he said.
An autopsy was performed but is pending police investigation, a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
Police urge anyone who may have information on this woman to call detectives at (708) 756-6422.
