FLOSSMOOR | Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School Theatre's annual spring musical is set to take the stage at the school's Mall Auditorium this weekend.
This year's selection, "Working," is based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with American workers. This musical paints a vivid portrait of people in different — oftentimes under-appreciated — professions from all walks of life. According to director J.R. Rose, H-F English teacher, the strength of the show is seeing how people's relationships to their work ultimately reveal key aspects of their humanity, regardless of the trappings of employment itself.
Show dates are 7:30 tonight and Saturday. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and are now available in the school’s Campus Store; they will also be available at the door. The production is recommended for ages 13 and up. Student-directors are Elijah Turner, Sabrina Howard and Sophia Panzica. The choreographer is Christopher Kelley.
The campus is at 999 Kedzie Ave. For more information, call or click (708) 799-3000, www.hfhighschool.org.
