MERRILLVILLE | The Purdue Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana will host the 2014 Purdue Coaches Caravan as it rolls into the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, 800 E. 81st Ave., at 6 p.m. May 15.

“We are pleased to be hosting this event again in Northwest Indiana for all Purdue alumni and friends,” club President Jeff Semko said.

Scheduled to appear are head men’s basketball coach Matt Painter, head football coach Darrell Hazel, former PU/NBA player and current John Purdue Club Director Brian Cardinal, along with PU Athletic Director Morgan Burke.

“This event is our biggest of the year and we love hosting it,” club secretary Laura Lunkes said.

Tickets in advance are $22 for adults and $15 for children.

Radisson chefs have developed a special menu just for the event. Three food stations will highlight Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas favorites. A cash bar will be available.

The club is seeking event and table sponsors, silent auction sponsors and donors. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Purdue Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana’s Scholarship Funds.
