HAMMOND | Students at Bishop Noll Institute took part last week in daily reflections and school-wide prayer in anticipation of Sunday's canonizations of SS.

John XXIII and John Paul II, and the impact the two men had during their tenures as pope. A sign signifying the canonizations has been displayed in the school's foyer. History was made on Divine Mercy Sunday at the Vatican as Pope Francis was joined by retired Pope Benedict XVI at the ceremonies. In fact, never before have a reigning pope and a retired pope celebrated Mass together in public, much less at an event honoring two of their most famous predecessors.
