CHICAGO | A man from the East Side neighborhood is facing child pornography charges, police said.

Miguel A. Villegas, 46, of the 10100 block of South Avenue J, faces a charge of possession of child pornography, according to a news release from the state attorney's office in Cook County. He had his first appearance in court Wednesday. His bail was set at $50,000.

Villegas was arrested Tuesday after police found child pornography videos on his home computer, according to the news release. The children in the video are younger than 13.

According to the release, Villegas could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
