PARK FOREST | Lyra, an a cappella group of five professional vocalists from St. Petersburg, Russia, will present a concert of Russian choral and folk music at 7:30 p.m. April 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2901 Western Ave.

The first part of the concert, sacred music of the Russian Orthodox Church, includes works of famous masters and little-known but remarkable Russian composers of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The second part of the program offers various Russian folk songs including comical, lyrical, dance and love songs. The concert is about an hour in length.

This is a unique opportunity to share Russia's enormous musical heritage. Come and enjoy the sounds of Russia as interpreted by real Russians. All the singers are from different professional choirs and opera houses in St. Petersburg.
