East Side teen winner of Bausch-Lomb Science Award

CHICAGO | De La Salle Institute announces that Michael Fuchs, of Bridgeport, and Selena Rivera, of the East Side, have been honored as recipients of the Bausch-Lomb Science Award, which is presented annually to graduating seniors at the Institute Campus for Young Men and Lourdes Hall Campus for Young Women who excel in the field of science.

Fuchs graduated with a 4.803 grade-point average and was the valedictorian for the class of 2013 at the Institute Campus for Young Men. He will attend the University of Notre Dame.

Rivera graduated with a 4.652 GPA and was ranked No. 3 in the 84-member class of 2013 at the Lourdes Hall Campus for Young Women. She will attend the University of Illinois at Chicago.
