CHICAGO | A Cook County judge denied bond Tuesday to a Flossmoor man who faces criminal charges in the shooting deaths of a pair of teenagers in a South Chicago home.

During a brief appearance at the Criminal Courts building, Judge James R. Brown refused to grant bond to 23-year-old Justin Hamilton, who faces two counts of murder in the deaths Saturday of Anthony Bankhead, 18, and Jordan Means, 16, both of Chicago.

Prosecutors said Tuesday a quarrel on Facebook earlier Saturday may have provoked the shootings, which Chicago Police News Affairs said occurred at Bankhead’s home in the 8200 block of Houston Avenue.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office said Bankhead and Means were shot in the head and ruled their deaths homicides.

Hamilton will remain at Cook County Jail while his court case is pending. He is scheduled to appear in court again on May 9.
