MARKHAM | A teenage boy learned Friday he was indicted by a grand jury on a murder charge in the stabbing death of his older brother.

Michael Tigue, 15, of Flossmoor, made a brief appearance in Cook County Circuit Court in Markham. The indictment charges him with one count of murder, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

Tigue was arrested Dec. 20 by Flossmoor police who responded to a domestic disturbance early that day at his house. When police arrived, they found older brother Steven Tigue, 25, with a stab wound.

Prosecutors have said Michael Tigue attacked his older brother because of what he perceived as bullying.

Michael Tigue previously had bond set at $2 million. He has been held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago while his criminal case is pending.
