I was sad that my family was not able to make it to the Lansing Golden-K Kiwanis Club’s chili supper this month, but I have received word the annual celebration at the Eisenhower Center in Lansing was a big success.

The 22 guests dined on three crockpots of chili made by members and their wives. They also enjoyed side dishes and desserts made by the other attendees.

After supper, member Jim Kijewski emceed a quiz game that rewarded the five best scorers with a specially wrapped gift.

“Everyone really enjoyed this guy’s game,” said member Ray Scahill. “All of us enjoyed the delicious food and fellowship that we all had.”
