CHICAGO | Robin Kelly, a Democratic candidate in the special election for the 2nd Congressional District, on Wednesday announced her campaign team.

The team includes campaign manager Jon Blar, who has successfully guided federal and statewide candidates through large-field primaries, according to a news release. The team also includes media and strategic communications consulting firm Adlestein-Liston. The company founders served on the senior strategy team for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, the release states.

Polling will be done by GBA Strategies. National pollster Jason McGrath was part of the polling team for Mayor Rahm Emanuel's 2011 campaign. Mission Control will handle direct mail communications for the Kelly campaign, and Spiros Consulting will conduct opposition research, policy work and general consulting for Kelly.
