U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly provided constituents with valuable information on the Affordable Care Act during a recent Town Hall meeting at the Mary Magdalene M.B. Church in Chicago.

Experts explained the new federal health care law and how it benefits individuals and families. Participants also learned about the Illinois Marketplace and what the ACA means for small businesses.

“The purpose of this informational forum and others I’m hosting is to familiarize people with the ABCs of the Affordable Care Act,” Congresswoman Kelly said. “We are explaining the registration process and reviewing some of the benefits they will be receiving.”

Kelly will host two more ACA informational forums from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the First Baptist Church of University Park, 450 University Parkway, and Sept. 23 at the Kankakee Public Library, 201 E. Merchant St.

For more information on the upcoming ACA forums, call (708) 679-0078.
