CHICAGO | The Mount Carmel High School Caravan Alley Players are bringing humor and heart to the stage in the dramedy, "Taste." "Taste," an in-house original play, will be performed by a cast of students and alumni at Mount Carmel the weekends of Feb. 1 and 8, with a special dinner theater performance scheduled for Feb. 9h.
The whodunit murder mystery takes place at the television premier of the nation’s next great reality cooking show, “Whose Got Taste.” Hilarity ensues as two South Side detectives unravel a case that ultimately teaches viewers a valuable lesson about the importance of sharing a family meal
"Taste" is the fifth in a series of in-house original shows inspired by the five senses which are written by the show director, Padre Benjamin Aguilar, O.Carm., with the help of a talented team of Mount Carmel students.
Performances are 7 p.m. Feb. 1 and 2; 2 p.m. Feb. 3; 7 p.m. Feb. 8; a dinner theater at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9; 2 p.m. Feb. 10. Performances are at the Mount Carmel High School Student Center, 6410 S. Dante Ave.
