CHICAGO | The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday that, weather permitting, repairs to the westbound ramp to Interstate 94 from 103rd Street will begin Monday.

The construction will create a new bridge deck and bearing replacement. The construction will include demolishing the existing concrete deck and parapet walls along with construction of a new concrete bridge deck, new parapet walls and new bearings on the ramp.

It is anticipated the ramp will shut down at 6 a.m. Monday. Construction is expected to be complete Oct. 31. A detour route will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to follow detour signs.
