CHICAGO | The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before Feb. 8, scouting's anniversary day, as Scout Sunday.

Feb. 2 was a day to recognize the accomplishments of these young people and their adult leaders to scouting and their community. The Scout Law states that a Scout is reverent. He is reverent toward God and is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion.

Cub Scout Pack 773 celebrates this day at Annunciata Church on the East Side. Annunciata is the parish where the Scouts hold their meetings and also perform many community service projects such as Scouting for Food, Toy Drive, and running the kids' games at the fest. The Scouts received a patch for participating.
