CHICAGO | Dale Downs, dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and associate professor of physics at Ivy Tech Community College in East Chicago, worked with Webelos I and II Cub Scouts of Pack 773 to earn their Scientist Merit Pin.

The Scouts participated in scientific experiments and tested some famous scientific laws such as Bernoulli's Principle and Sir Isaac Newton's First Law of Motion.

The Scouts meet at Annunciata Parish on the city's East Side.
