Scouts highlight their activities for East Side Lions
CHICAGO | Representative of the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts were invited to attend the monthly meeting of the East Side Lions to give a brief description of their involvement with the Scouting program.
The youth highlighted their service projects, such as food and coat drives, helping at pancake breakfasts and digging out fire hydrants during last year's snowstorm, all of which benefited the East Side community.
The Lions commended the youth on their accomplishments and in return gave them a donation to help them continue with their projects. The East Side Lions meet twice a month at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the American Legion Post 220, 10506 Ewing Ave.
