GRIFFITH | Cub Scouts of Pack 773, who meet on the East Side, attended four days of Cub Scout "Under The Big Top" Day Camp at the Izaak Walton League in Griffith under the direction of Keith Halper.

The Scouts enjoyed the magic of summer while learning Scout skills such as fishing, archery, knot tying and more. The Scouts completed wood working projects, learned how to shoot a bow and arrow and BB guns. The highlight for many of the Scouts was fishing.

The Scouts participated in many hands-on experiences from learning how to identify species of insects to making popcorn on the grill. Many of the Scouts did not want the week to end and are looking forward to more Scouting activities. Contact the Boy Scouts of America Calumet Council to find a pack near you, www.calumetcouncil.org or call (219) 836-1720.
