CHICAGO | The Southeast Lions participated in the fourth annual car, truck and bike show sponsored by Southeast Lion Patty Fisher, owner of Knowledge Hook-UP computer school.

The event took place beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 11 at the William H. Powers Conservation Area at Wolf Lake, 12600 S. Avenue O on the Southeast Side. Southeast Lions Joe Gonzalez, Margarita Carrillo and Andy Di Santo hosted a display to recruit new members and sell raffle tickets to raise funds for the club.

An honor guard performed a patriotic drill while the national anthem was played. Car judging finished at 2:45 p.m. and vehicle awards were presented. Raffles were conducted throughout the event and prizes were awarded.

More than 30 cars, two bikes and two trucks were on display. Other participants were 104.3 FM, the Field Museum, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Wolves and Chicago Bears paraphernalia, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, veterans organizations, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Tuskegee Airmen and the Buffalo soldiers.
