CHICAGO | Local politicians and Walgreens are sponsoring a senior health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at Tuley Park, 501 E. 90th Place, according to a news release.

State Rep. Elgie Sims, D-Chicago; state Sen. Donne Trotter, D-Chicago, and Cook County Commissioner Stanley Moore Jr. are partnering with Walgreens to sponsor the health fair.

It will provide area seniors with free flu and pneumonia shots, as well as wellness checkups, such as blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes screenings. Various state agencies will provide information on resources for seniors, such as the Illinois Department of Aging, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and County Care.
