CHICAGO | Three dedicated Webelos II Cub Scouts crossed over to Boy Scouts at a recent Blue and Gold ceremony that took place April 7 at Annunciata Parish Hall on Chicago's East Side.

John Garcia has spent five years with Pack 773, Eric Godinez, three years and Javier Larios, two years. All three Scouts earned the Arrow of Light Award which is the highest rank in Cub Scouting and the only award they will carry with them to be worn on their Boy Scout uniform. The boys earned a great deal of knowledge and skills while in scouting. They earned achievement pins for Outdoorsman, Scientist, Readyman, and Artist to name a few.

Garcia will be joining Boy Scout Troop 276 in Lansing and Godinez and Larios will join Troop 701, which meets in Chicago. These boys served as a role model for the other 41 Cub Scouts of Pack 773 who were in attendance at the crossover ceremony to receive their awards and honors for the year. Pack 773 will continue to be involved over the summer participating in activities such as the Cleanup of Boy Scout Road, serving as color guard for the Southeast Side Relay for Life, Day Camp, Family Camp, and an overnight at the Gary Railcats Stadium.
