CRETE | Children from Crete Park District Day Camp recently learned about crime scene investigations from Illinois State Police Sgt. Heather Poerio.

Poerio visited with the Crete Park District day camps, giving them the opportunity for hands-on participation in some of the crime scene investigative techniques. The youngsters learned how to dust for fingerprints on cards and cups, tested blood samples, collected crime scene fibers and particles, made footprint imprints and took footprints from the tile in the Willard Wood Park Center.
