CRETE | The Crete Public Library’s Youth Services Department celebrated Dr. Seuss’ March birthday using the author's two books, "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and "Wocket in My Pocket" as their theme.

With a “Shuffle, duffle, muzzle, muff, Fista, wista, mista-cuff” librarians Kathy James and Judy Richert made oobleck, a gooey green substance, for the children to make into shapes and then watch as it becomes flat again. After reading "Wocket in My Pocket" the children made Wockets, a made-up creature that lives in a little boy’s house, from socks, stuffed with polyester fill and decorated with markers.
