CRETE | St. James Manor & Villas, 1251 E. Richton Road, will continue hosting a free Alzheimer's and Dementia Family Forum the second Wednesday of each month in the Assisted Living Burr Oak Room at 6 p.m.

During this month's forum tonight, Gary Bush, community education coordinator from Metro South Senior Behavioral Unit, 12935 S. Gregory St., Blue Island, will be explaining the difference in the "Three D's" of geriatric psychiatry: delirium, dementia, and depression.

Bush has an undergraduate degree in biology, a master's in management and an additional master's degree in clinical psychology, with more than 20 years of working in behavioral health inpatient and outpatient programs. He started his career working as a patient care counselor and through the years has held a variety of clinical and administrative positions including community care coordinator, where he has provided education to many diverse health care providers and the community at large on the benefits of behavioral health programs like the Senior Behavioral Health Unit at Metro South Medical Center.

Additionally, tips and strategies for coping with caregiver stress, facts about Alzheimer's and dementia, and the aging process will be discussed in this community group. Tours of the memory care neighborhood will be offered alongside complimentary refreshments.

For more information on the monthly family forum, contact St. James Manor and Villas directly at (708) 672-6700.
