CRETE | During a recent Girls Night Out in the Crete Public Library’s Youth Services Department, girls made decorative tiles and fabric Christmas balls. The decorative tiles were made by coating the tile with rubbing alcohol using a sponge brush, followed by dripping small drops of various colors of ink onto the tile.
The end product was a colorful abstract tile that may be used as a coaster. Girls Night Out is an all-girl program where the girls make a variety of crafts, learn to sew with a needle, cut fabric and much more.
