CRETE | Pete the Cat was in full swing during a recent Can U Dig It? program held in the Crete Public Library’s Youth Services Department.

Betsy Neuliep on guitar and Nance Tucker on drums added a plus to the singing of Pete the Cat books. Each child donned a headband with blue cat ears and cat whiskers were painted on their cheeks. Besides singing with the band, the group played games and made a Pete the Cat puppet.

Can U Dig It? is just one of the library’s summer reading club programs that has been enjoyed by community.
