CRETE | The Crete Public Library’s Youth Service Department offers a new program, Mastering the Arts, for children 5, 6, 7 and 8 years old.
It is a beginning art experience exposing children to basic concepts and skills through the Picturing America program. Picturing America was created by the National Endowment for the Humanities whose goal it is to bring American art into schools and libraries. February’s artist for study was Romare Beardan, an American collage artist.
