CRETE | Crete Public Library, 1177 N. Main St., announces its children programing for August. Register in person, by phone at (708) 672-8017 or online at http://www.cretelibrary.org.

The Craig Nelson Magic Show

The Crete Public Library presents The Craig Nelson Magic Show from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 7. Children of all ages will enjoy the interactive magic show that engages in the practice of exploring their imagination and learning to believe that anything is possible

Chess Night

Chess Night takes place from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 12. Enjoy playing with a friend or meet a new person to play a game with. New volunteer Silas will help kids with learning the game.

Gut the PC

The Crete Public Library offers children ages 9 years and up a chance to learn what’s inside a computer from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 16. This is your chance to take apart a computer and see if you can put it back together again. Very limited enrollment, register early.

Family Bingo Night

The Crete Public Library’s Chess Night will hold Family Bingo Night from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 15. Enjoy a family night of fun and prizes.

Minecraft

The Crete Public Library invites Minecraft gamers to enjoy time with other Minecraft fans for an ultimate multi-player adventure on Aug. 24. Ages 9 to 12 years are invited to play from 10 a.m. to noon.
