CRETE |  Two Crete teens were killed Friday night when the motorcycle they were riding crashed in the parking lot of the high school, officials said.

Patrick Boylan, 19, and Kelsey McGill, 18, were pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m. in the parking lot of Crete-Monee High School, 1515 W. Exchange Ave., according to the Will County Coroner's office.

Preliminary autopsy results determined Boylan died of head injuries and McGill died of multiple injuries suffered in the crash, the coroner's officer reported.

The official causes of death are pending full autopsy, toxicology and police reports, a coroner's office representative said.

According to Crete Deputy Police Chief Robert Hill, Boylan and McGill were riding Boylan's 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle when they crashed in the west lot of the high school.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Hill said.

The pair reportedly graduated from Crete-Monee this spring.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, he said.

The coroner's office reported funeral arrangements for the pair are being handled by Crete Funeral Home.

A representative of the funeral home said family members were too distraught to meet to make arrangements for services Saturday.

Plans for funerals are not expected to be released until early next week, he said.
