CRETE | Crete Park District hosted it's first Picture it Scavenger Hunt on June 12.

The village of Crete was buzzing with teens running from clue to clue, following a list of questions. The answers were reported through digital pictures each team took while on the course. Bonus points were given for various photos; for example, a photo with a police officer in uniform netted the team 10 points. (Every team was able to attain these bonus points.) At the end of the evening, several awards, including Best Selfie, Mega Phone Award, and the Goofy Awards were presented.

The top two teams composed of Josh Crusty, Stephanie Gralewski, Jessica Hale and Haley Veldhuizen and Antney Urbikas, Erin Dubin, Amber Woods and Derek Bryant tied for first pace and were given a gift certificate to Cone Cottage.

By request, Crete Park District is planning to schedule another Picture It Scavenger Hunt designed for younger kids later this summer. For more information, go to and sign up for their newsletter.
