Crete Woman's Club offering scholarships

CRETE | The Crete Woman's Club will award more than $6,000 in scholarships this spring.

The club will offer summer camp scholarships worth up to $250 each to students who are currently in the ninth, 10th and 11th grades and who reside in Crete Township. The areas of interest must be music, athletics, art, drama or educational enrichment. Camp applications will be available in the guidance offices of Crete-Monee, Iliana Christian, Illinois Lutheran, Bloom Trail and Marian Catholic high schools as well as on the club website.

Two $2,000 college scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors who attend Crete-Monee High School and who will be attending an accredited institution of higher learning.

Crete Woman's Club also announces a new scholarship to be awarded this year. The Ruth Murray Memorial College Scholarship in the amount of $500 will be given to an outstanding Crete Monee graduating senior who will be attending an accredited institution of higher learning.
