CRETE | On Oct. 12, Crete Park District held a Zumbathon charity event to raise money for Angels on Assignment.
Led by Zumba instructor Amy Madsen, 20 participants danced for two hours to help out this local charity. Through ticket sales and raffles, they collected $450 to present to Angels.
Angels on Assignment helps children and provides unique solutions for families with a seriously ill member. They help by assisting with health, medical, and travel expenses; providing emotional support with "fun days away from illness;" and working with local charities, hospitals, and schools to meet current needs.
