CRETE | The Crete Public Library’s main floor display case holds pictures taken by Crete resident Carol Wentz.
Wentz's springtime travels to Yellowstone National Park are reflected in breathtaking scenes of wildlife and spouting geysers. The display also contains photographs of Utah’s Bryce Canyon, with rugged rock formations of brilliant orange, red and white.
Her journey to Kenya shows the diversity of wildlife such as the wildebeest, secretary bird, giraffes, elephants, lions and vultures. Costa Rica’s delicate bird of paradise flower and lush landscape are also on view. The display is up through March.
The Crete library is at 1177 N. Main St.
