CRETE | A new session of the Crete Park District's "Prelude" Show Choir will begin rehearsing on June 10.

Space is limited and registration is required. Call (708) 672-6969 for details or check Cretepark.com.

Members learn songs and choreographed dance steps to upbeat, popular music. They learn to build success through teamwork, camaraderie and concentration. The program directors are Kyla Metzler and Courtney Winkleman, both past members of the Crete-Monee High School award-winning Faces all-girl show choir and Cavaliers, a mixed show choir. Metzler won Most Outstanding Female Vocalist for her solo performance with the Faces choir at the national show choir competition in 2007 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
