CRETE | St. James Manor and Villas, 1251 E. Richton Road, will host a cooking show, “Spring from the Farm” with daily food and entertainment Times columnist and author Philip Potempa at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel.
Potempa, columnist for The Times of Northwest Indiana, will be the guest chef. He recently published his third book, and has worked with such renowned chefs as Emeril Lagasse and Paula Deen. Ptempa is also an adjunct instructor at both Valparaiso University and Purdue University North Central.
This cooking show is free to attend and will feature some of Potempa’s noted recipes, cooking tips and door prizes. Complimentary spring themed refreshments will be served.
