DOLTON | Lincoln Avenue School administrators and teachers recently treated some local heroes to breakfast.

The Dolton school’s media center was the morning gathering spot on Oct. 3 for Dolton Mayor Riley H. Rogers, Dolton police officers, and Dolton firefighters along with Lincoln Avenue School Principal Van King, Assistant Principal Jennifer Williams, and an array of Lincoln Avenue School teachers.

This was the second year for the annual breakfast event.

Principal King thanked the mayor for his support of Lincoln Avenue School and thanked Dolton police and firefighters for looking out for Lincoln School’s students and helping to keep them safe.

Police and firefighters also were presented with certificates and handmade thank you cards, posters, and letters from Lincoln Avenue School students.
