Winter isn't ready to ease its grip on the region just yet.

A wind chill advisory is in effect for Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper, Benton, Cook and Will counties from midnight Tuesday until noon Wednesday. Northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected to create wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero.

Wednesday's high is expected to be just 13.

Cold temperatures will continue through the weekend, with lows ranging from below zero to 10 degrees and highs remaining below freezing.

Friday could bring a chance of snow, and light snow is forecast throughout the weekend and into Monday.
