GLENWOOD | Glenwood police have charged two individuals in connection with several burglaries to automobiles, according to a news release.

Police charged Rashad Richmond, 17, of the 500 block of Maple Drive, with five felony counts of burglary. Luis Alvarez-Gutierrez, 20, of the 400 block of Tulip Drive, is charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property.

On Nov. 21, Glenwood police, with help from the Net 3 Tactical unit, executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Maple Drive in connection with an ongoing burglary investigation.

Police found proceeds from numerous automobile burglaries, they said. Investigators learned Alvarez-Gutierrez allegedly acted as the fence for the stolen property, police said.
