HARVEY | Oak Lawn Toyota selected Restoration Ministries as its partner charity in Chicagoland Dealers Care – a program designed to deliver year-round support to local nonprofit organizations and amplify the efforts already put forth by Chicagoland dealers.
Restoration Ministries is enlisting the public to cast their vote for them in the Facebook-based contest. Individuals are able to vote once a day for Restoration Ministries through Dec. 12 at Facebook.com/DriveChicago. The grand prize winner will receive a $3,500 donation and a Chicagoland Dealers Care public service announcement to boost marketing efforts; second prize is a donation of $2,500; and the third place winner will receive a $2,000 donation.
Oak Lawn Toyota’s owner Ronnie Colosimo is a board member and longtime supporter of Restoration Ministries, a nonprofit located in Harvey that provides life-changing opportunities to recovering addicts, at-risk youth and families struggling in poverty. Last year, Restoration Ministries served more than 3,500 individuals through its 22 programs that include Harvey House and Tabitha House, Christian-based residential recovery programs, Harvey Boxing Club, after-school homework help and tutoring, Gallery of the Arts Education Center, and a food pantry.

“Chicagoland Dealers Care has provided additional financial support to local auto dealers’ philanthropic efforts since 2008,” said Chicago Automobile Trade Association board member Ray Scarpelli. “With the contest, our hope is to shed additional light on the existing charitable contributions put forth by the dealer community and to heighten public awareness of the significant causes supported by local nonprofit organizations.”
