"We have put together an outstanding lineup of music, attracted a wide variety of art vendors for visitors to shop and view, and invited professionals to give DIY tips. Come and make a day of it."
The Downtown Homewood Art & Garden Street Fair entertainment kicks off at noon June 7 with award-winning children's indie musician Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players. This Grammy-nominated artist has just released a brand new collection of original lullabies, which he will showcase in his Homewood concert. Additional music on Friday includes singer/songwriter Ivory West and Elevation, a U2 Tribute Band.
June 8's musical lineup begins with Chicago's own Little Miss Ann at 10:30 a.m., followed at noon by the Chicago premiere of the king of kid-hop, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo. Additional June 8 music includes Chicago favorite No Love for Linus and Latin Satin Soul.
This year also boasts the introduction of the Homewood Homebrew Beer Competition from 3 to 5 p.m. June 8 (during No Love for Linus' set).
