FLOSSMOOR | Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School will present "Bridge to Terabithia" at the school's Mall Auditorium today and Saturday.

The play is based upon Katherine Paterson's Newberry Award-winning novel. This powerful adaptation shares the story of Jesse, a rural artist who dreams of becoming someone special. Leslie, the new girl from the city, opens up a world of imagination, art and literature for him. Together they create Terabithia, a fantasy kingdom where they are safe from those who don't understand them.

Show dates and times are 7:30 tonight and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets for public performances are $8 per adult, $5 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the school's Campus Store or at the door.

This production directed by Jill Bonavia-Galligani, H-F theater and English teacher, is recommended for ages 10 and older.

"Bridge to Terabithia" is written by Katherine Paterson and Stephanie Tolan with music by Steve Liebman. It is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.

Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School is at 999 Kedzie Ave. For more information, call (708) 799-3000 or visit hfhighschool.org.
