FLOSSMOOR | Homewood-Flossmoor High School Theatre will present the musical satire "Urinetown"  Nov. 8 to 10 in the school's Mall Auditorium, 999 Kedzie Ave.

"Urinetown" is a satirical tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a severe water shortage has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. When "Urinetown "debuted on Broadway in 2001, it won Tony Awards for Best Book, Best Score and Best Direction. It also was nominated for seven other Tony Awards and won the Drama League Award for Best Musical. This production — directed by Jill Bonavia-Galligani, H-F English teacher — is designed for adults and students in sixth grade and up.

Tickets are available in advance at the school's Campus Store and at the door for $9/adult, $7/student/senior. Available public shows are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8,  9, and  10. Assistant student directors/understudies are Mizani Day, Kitty Robinson, Keani Staton, Jonathan Schaffer, Lamone Stansbury and Taja Ware.
