HOMEWOOD | A Homewood man died early Sunday of a gunshot wound following a report of a distubance outside his home.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified the man as Brandon Culpepper, 30, of the 900 block of Olive Road.

The examiner's office reported a Homewood police officer fatally shot the man after responding to a report of a disturbance before 10 a.m. at the apartment building.
