HOMEWOOD | The second annual South Suburban R.C. Air & Water Show takes place 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 10, the Homewood-Floosmoor Park District announced.
Remote controlled boats, planes and helicopters will buzz around Dolphin Lake, at 183rd Street and Governors Highway.
Flying and aerobatic demonstrations will be provided by the Suburban Aero Club of Chicago, Model Masters, Palos R.C. (serving the south and southwest suburban Chicago area) and Academy of Model Aeronautics chartered clubs.
The South Suburban R.C. Air & Water Show, presented by the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, is a free event celebrating the exhibition of aircraft and piloting skills. All children in attendance are eligible to apply for a free membership to the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic.
