MUNSTER | Drivers should avoid Ridge Road and the immediate surrounding residential streets near the state line because of expected traffic congestion due to a parade this morning.

Munster police issued the advisory, noting Lansing will host a parade from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. that will shut down Ridge Road at Wentworth Avenue.

Police advised drivers to take alternate routes to avoid the area.
